Scenario in Bihar
Bihar is currently untapped in feed production. The current friendly support and incentive plan by Government of Bihar and development of industrial environment has accelerated the poultry farming in Bihar. Many investors from Bihar and outside of Bihar are being attracted towards investing in Bihar, especially in food processing business. In the recent years, a number of poultry farm and other business have been set up.
The size of poultry population is high at 64.58lakhs. Taking note of the importance of the sector, the state government has taken several initiatives for its development. These include breed up gradation, health and nutrition, and marketing of the products of the sector. Training of the personnel of the sectors has also been undertaken by the state government. Looking at the accelerated trends of the poultry firm and thrive of the demand, poultry feed production industry in Bihar is going to grow in future.
